Jessica practiced community association law for over a decade at a local firm prior to joining VF in 2016. Jessica’s practice involves advising associations on a wide variety of general counsel issues, including board and membership meetings, association governance, transition from developer control, governing document interpretation, amendment of governing documents, property use and general real estate matters. Jessica also devotes a significant portion of her practice to association property valuation and property taxation matters. She has successfully worked with the County Assessor, County Treasurer and State Board of Equalization to obtain proper valuation and taxation of association property, resulting in substantial tax savings for many associations.
Jessica served as the managing editor of Community Resource, the publication for the Central Arizona Chapter of the Community Associations Institute (CAI). She received the “Rising Star” award from CAI in 2014 in recognition of her contributions. She has written numerous articles on community association issues, and also drafts course curriculum for the Arizona Association of Community Managers. Jessica frequently speaks to board members, managers and industry groups on a variety of topics impacting community associations.

Originally from Wisconsin, Jessica remains a Green Bay Packer fan. She enjoys spending time with her husband (an Arizona native) and their young son. Her favorite activities include traveling, hiking, and running.
