Damien’s legal approach emphasizes fostering a collaborative work environment, deeply understanding his client’s needs, and meticulously solving complex issues. He has spent over 20 years building deep and personal relationships with clients while developing a strategic understanding of their cases and methodically planning his moves like a chess match to stay ahead of opposing counsel. Damien represents homeowner associations, insurance carriers, policyholders, and non-profit organizations concerning insurance defense, HOA matters, complicated enforcement matters, general counsel, and simple to complex non-profit corporation issues. His most significant accomplishment is cultivating relationships with longstanding clients at the firm and cementing VF Law as a firm that achieves results with loyal and satisfied clients. He is an advocate for protecting his clients from potential legal issues before they arise; he advises that more emphasis should be placed on preventative maintenance to avoid defect litigation in the future.
As a young attorney, Damien received the advice, “Don’t be so afraid of making a mistake that you fail to act; there are very few mistakes you cannot recover from.” This has driven him to embrace transparency and proactivity in his career. He has a natural ability to read people, which makes him adept at understanding his clients’ desires and knowing where an opponent stands in court. Damien is currently on the Colorado Legislative Action Committee and a CAI Rocky Mountain and Southern Colorado Chapters member.
When away from work, Damien enjoys spending time with his wife and four kids. He enjoys hiking, camping, and competitive weightlifting.
