Raised in Hood River, Oregon, Ashley thoroughly understands the priorities, needs, and perspectives of Oregon HOA boards concerning legal matters. Helping HOAs navigate owner disputes, interpreting and amending governing documents, collecting on delinquent fees/dues, helping HOA boards prioritize funding for large repair or replacement projects, and foreclosing on liens are the main focuses of Ashley’s legal practice. She strives to educate her clients on the intricacies of HOA law, pushing them toward reliable self-governance and examining more significant issues that require experienced legal expertise.
Ashley’s 14 years of experience have led to her formulating an approach that prioritizes efficiency and accuracy while cutting directly to the point in general HOA legal matters. She helps HOAs navigate their day-to-day issues, including running their board meetings to ensure priorities, governing documents, disputes, and questions are handled in a professional manner. Additionally, she advises her clients to take a proactive approach concerning problematic situations to avoid them snowballing into a larger, more complicated matter.
A self-professed “legal-dork,” Ashley’s enthusiasm for the law, and teaching it, has no bounds. The interesting and engaging nature of the profession drew her in from an early age, helping her embody a collaborative and well-versed perspective concerning legal matters. Her drive and legal acumen have pushed her to consistently succeed and establish herself as a preeminent HOA law attorney.
In addition to her legal practice, Ashley is an adjunct professor at the Lewis and Clark School of Law where she takes considerable pride in teaching negotiations to the next generation of lawyers. Her teaching extends into presenting as she has participated in several conferences/conventions providing education and insight on topics related to HOA Law and CCRs. Her most recent presentations were for the Oregon Real Estate and Land Use Group (RELU) and CAI Western Oregon.
When Ashley is not in the office, she enjoys reading, hiking, spending time with her two children, traveling, and maintaining a healthy lifestyle.
