Partner Ashley Yorra’s journey and significant contributions to the legal arena are spotlighted in The Legal Intelligencer in a celebration of International Women’s Day. With over 15 years of experience, Yorra’s passion for law was kindled by her family’s legal legacy, shaping her conviction in the profound impact of legal advocacy. Reflecting on her early influences, Yorra shares, “Both my grandfather and father were lawyers. They helped show me the difference lawyers make in people’s lives. I was 6 when I first declared I would be a lawyer.”

Recognizing the hurdles women face in juggling career aspirations and family obligations, Yorra has spearheaded initiatives to cultivate a supportive workplace environment. “After seeing many women lawyers leave the practice after having children, I lobbied to support parents at the firm,” she explains. Her efforts include establishing a nursing lounge and ensuring options for income retention during maternity and paternity leave. Through mentorship and teaching roles, Yorra empowers aspiring lawyers to navigate the legal landscape with confidence and resilience, stating, “Seeing successful women helps students realize there are pathways to becoming a successful woman attorney.”

In her practice, Yorra specializes in Condominium and Homeowner Association Law, where she adeptly navigates complex matters with precision and insight.  Reflecting on her experiences, she shares, “Some of my matters are very interesting – and some are simple and run of the mill. The varied matters I work on always keep my days interesting.”
