Amy Nelson is a corporate attorney in the firm’s Seattle office. She works alongside VF Law attorneys to provide legal counsel to businesses, entrepreneurs, and community associations across the state. A primary focus for Amy is advising clients on the new provisions of the Washington Uniform Common Interest Ownership Act (WUCIOA). Her expertise is integral in helping community associations and business clients navigate these significant regulatory changes and ensure compliance in a shifting legal landscape.

Before joining VF Law, Amy served as an investor with the Willamette Angel Fund, co-leading their annual investment allocation for a fund with over $2 million in assets under management. She was a key player in expanding companies’ financial footprint, diligently evaluating investment opportunities across a range of industries and geographies. She also worked as an investment analyst intern with Tacoma Venture Fund, supporting pitch meetings, market research, and investment memo drafting, and analyzing acquisition activity and capital deployment trends in the Pacific Northwest and other major U.S. regions.

Her academic background reflects a combination of legal and business acumen, earning her a Juris Doctor and a Master of Business Administration from Willamette University, graduating magna cum laude from Willamette’s College of Law, and graduating at the top of her cohort at the Atkinson Graduate School of Management.
