“Being proactive makes all the difference and helps my clients efficiently and effectively meet their goals. This is what fuels my work as an attorney. Success is not only winning a case but also ensuring my clients involved are well prepared to move forward.”

With over two decades of experience, Chris adeptly solves complex legal matters, comprehensively evaluates the specifics of each matter, and swiftly determines the best approach for securing a client’s desired outcome. Chris represents HOAs in various areas, including general counsel, enforcement matters, and construction defects.  He also works on general real property matters as well.   Chris focuses on the long-term ramifications of the options and solutions presented, and recognizes the personal and emotional involvement these legal matters require of his clients. He works toward successful resolutions while also finding ways to promote a healthy relationship between all involved in a case, especially since in homeowners association matters, the parties are often still going to be neighbors.  He has secured multi-million-dollar settlements for his clients on multiple occasions.  He also has victorious court of appeal and state supreme court opinions in Oregon and Idaho.

In HOA and real property matters, Chris follows the advice, “always read the room.” By understanding the dynamics and people of each case, he can mitigate issues that arise and work with others to solve complex matters while maintaining a calm demeanor.

Chris has served as the president of the Oregon Chapter of Community Associations Institute.  He is part of the J Reuben Clark Law Society and the Multnomah County Bar Association.

When he is not in the office, Chris enjoys spending time with his wife and four children; together, they enjoy traveling to new places. As devout sports fans, he and his sons are on a mission to see a baseball game in every major league stadium. He is an avid football fan and roots for the Seattle Seahawks and BYU Cougars!
